The Synergy Of Life

The controversial 21 Grams Theory by Dr. Douglas MacDougall claimed that everyone of us has a soul that weighs 21 grams. Dr. MacDougall tried to prove his theory by conducting the experiment on several patients facing imminent death from tuberculosis in 1901. The experiment was not attempted ever since . This theory has since over the years appeared in many films and novels, including the likes of the 2003 movie 21 grams, and Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol.

Although still very much unproven today, the popularity of it should be undisputed and ought to really pique our interest as to the missing link between life and death.

Albert Einstein once stated in physics under the Law of the Conservation of Energy that "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed into one form or another". So when we die, all of the energy in our body should theoretically be transformed into other forms of energy.

Einstein also explained the relationship between energy and mass with the famous E = mc2 equation. If the loss of mass after death were to be true, physics as we know it would lead us to believe that some form of energy within us should have been transformed into some other forms of energy as our physical bodies eventually disintegrate into nothingness.

Synergy:
"The interaction of elements that when combined produced an effect that is greater than the sum of the individual elements."

A computer will never be able to perform the functions that it originally could when the components are taken apart into many small pieces. But when the hardware and software are fit together, the computer can be used to create just about anything our imagination takes us. This is a result of synergy. The synergy of a product is a result of a culmination of dedicated hard work put in and countless hours of attention to meticulous details. The difference that separates us from a product is that we have the freedom to discover that purpose that defines your synergy.

Within each of us, the bridge between a given life and the subsequent passing is a rite of passage that we will eventually go through. From the day we are born, the elements of the earth all come together to create the amazing synergy that is you. We are each given this life to have a shot at living out what truly resonates deep in our hearts and minds. When we have finally achieved that, we will have finally known the synergy of life.
